Wooden Texture

In is article I’ll tell you how to make the background with the wooden texture. You can use this method for making your web-page.

Step 1.
Create a new document with the size 256X256 pixels. Set the foreground (113,79,40) and background( 174,124,75) colours.
Apply Filters > Render > Clouds and then Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates ( choose “Polar to Rectangular” option). Apply Filter > Noise > Add Noise with the following settings: Gaussian, Monochromatic, Amount-> 8%.

Step 2.
Apply Filter > Blur > Motion Blur with the following settings: Angle-> 90, Distance-> 45 pixels.

Step 3.
Create a new layer. Set the dark brown colour (117,76,36). Draw several lines with different thickness (3-9 pixels).

Step 4.
Apply Filter > Distort > Wave with the following settings:

Step 5.
Apply Filter > Distort > Displace with the following settings:

and choose the displacement map ( before choosing this filter you must create a new document with the noise structure and save it in *.PSD type):

Step 6.
Apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur with the Radius-> 0,7 pixels.

Step 7.
Apply Filter > Blur > Motion Blur with the following settings: Angle-> 90, Distance-> 6 pixels. And that’s it.
