Making Batman LogoIn childhood I loved watching films about Batman. What a hero, fighting against evil! And have decided to write a tutorial about how to draw the Batman logo. Though it would be better to use a vector editor, Photoshop will suffice.

This tutorial requires basic knowledge about working with vectors.

1. Create a new document 300×200 with a black background.

2. Select Elliptical Marquee Tool (M) and create a selection that almost completely covers the canvas, with small indentations. Fill it with yellow (#FFFF00) and deselect (Ctrl+D).

Yellow .

3. Call Rulers (Ctrl+R) and add vertical Guide to the center.

4. Select Pen Tool(P) (shape layers selected) and make few anchor points.

5. Using Convert Point Tool change points.

6. Duplicate Layer (Ctrl+J). Select duplicated layer and flip horizontal (Edit>Transform Path>Flip Horizontal). Select Move Tool (V) and holding shift, move path to the right, until you have attained a mirror image of the original path.

That’s all, folks – the logo is ready.

Here is an example of using the batman logo.

Great tutorial, you made it easy with good detail in each step, helps the novice how to understand how to use the basic functions!

I don’t understand when you say “This tutorial requires basic knowledge about working with vectors.”
I managed to complete without this, but what did you mean by working with vectors.

Happy to find that there are blog owners that worry about their blogs and not release all kind of inutile stuff but rather try to maintain it ideal and worthy for the sake of their readers. You’ve done a good job and i thank you for that and as well for not shocking me with useless garbage and spam.Thank You
