Create an art work design for an iphone presentation. This Photoshop tutorial will teach you how to use and adjust blending options, pattern overlay and outer glow to build an eye catching composition around your product.

To work forward we need some brushes.

• Fantasy Floral Photoshop Brushes
• Assorted brush

Two flower images and an iphone image I had taken from google.com.

Let’s start.

Step 1

Open a New file 500×500 px with black background color.

Step 2

Set foreground color to white (ffffff). Insert a new blank layer. Go to tool panel. > Click on the brush tool > select a soft round brush >increase brush size up to 150 px ,then paint spots as shown.

Step 3

Next we need to give gradient effect to the white spot. To do that, right click on white spot layer > click on blending options. . > Check ON gradient overlay > click on edit gradient > change "black color" to "purple color"(#fc00ff) and change "white color" to "yellow color" (#ffde00). Set yellow color stop location "100%" to "80 %". Then press OK to close both windows.

Step 4

Our next step is to insert pattern weave. To do that, go to tool panel> click on rectangle tool > insert 500 x 500 px rectangle shape > then right click on rectangle shape layer > select blending options. . . > Check ON pattern overlay > under pattern > click on small arrow for open more patterns > then clicks on texture fill 2. Then press ok to replace current patterns. Pan down the pattern list. You will see weave 5 pattern. Select it. Then press OK to close the layer style window.

Step 5

Now we got pattern weave effect of our rectangle shape, but we need it as in an image (or photo type). So to do that, insert new blank layer. Now we need to select both layers. (New blank layer and weave 5 layer) and merge them. To do that , select 1st layer then press "Ctrl" on keyboard then select 2nd layer (while ctrl is pressing click on 2nd layer). Then press "ctrl + E" on keyboard to merge them. Next we need to change "layer style" of the pattern weave image. To do that, click on a layer style combo box on a layer panel > change it "normal" to "overlay".

Step 6

Our next step is to add floral shape. To do that, insert blank layer on the layer panel. Then go to tool panel > click on the brush tool > then click to open brush preset picker > Then select "GI fantasy floral part 2 brush" with 300 px size. Place it as shown. Just check that foreground color is white.

Step 7

In this step, you need to do same as step 6. Just you need to select "GI fantasy floral part 1 brush" with 250 px size and place it as shown. (Insert new blank layer > tool panel > brush tool > open brush picker> select brush "GI fantasy floral part 1” > insert it on a screen > and flip it to be horizontal as shown).

In this shape, we need to rotate it slightly to the left. Do it and place it properly as shown (edit > transform > rotate).

Step 8

Now we need to add glow effect to our floral shapes. To do that, select floral shape > right click on layer > select blending options. . > Check ON outer glow > change blend mode "screen" to "color dodge" > increase elements size from"5" to "7" > then press OK to close the window.

Step 9

Next, we need to copy this effect and apply it to next floral shape layer. To do that, select effect applied shape layer > right click on it > click on copy layer style > then go to next floral shape layer > right click on it > and select paste layer style.

Step 10

In this step, we need to add Gerbera flower to screen. To do that, open flower image > just drag and drop it into our file and place it properly as shown.

Step 11

Now we need to add glow effect to our flower. To do that, select flower layer > right click on it > select blending options. . > Check ON outer glow > change blend mode "screen" to "color dodge" > set opacity value "75" to "50" > increase elements size from "5" to "20" > then press OK to close the window.

Step 12

Next, we need to add an iphone image on our file. To do that, open an iphone image. Just drag and drop into our file. Place it properly as shown.

Step 13

In this step, we need to follow step 11 (select iphone layer > right click on layer > blending options. . > Check ON outer glow > change blend mode "screen" to "color dodge" > change opacity value "75" to "50" > increase elements size to "20" then press OK).

Step 14

Now we need to add flower’s bunch on our file. To do that, click on flower’s image then drag it into our file and drop it. Then place it properly as shown.

Step 15

Next, we need to give outer glow to flower bunch of black color. To do that, select flower bunch layer > right click on it > select blending options. . . > Check ON outer glow > change blend mode "screen" to "normal" > then change color "light yellow" to "black" > then press OK to close the window.

Step 16

Next,we need to add a glowing star. So create new blank layer > then go to tool panel > click on the brush tool > open brush picker > select "crosshatch 4" > create star. Then we need show glow around star. To do that, go to brush picker > select "starburst – large” > create it as shown.

Step 17

Next, we need to add glow effect to our star. For that follow step 8. (Select star layer > right click on layer > click on blending option. . > Check ON outer glow > change blend mode "screen" to "color dodge" > change element size from “5” to “7” then press OK to close the window).
